Punta Paloma

Location: Carretera Nacional 340 al km 74

Services: 1 carpark just a walk from the beach (public/private : in summer you tend to need to pay for parking), 4 bars, showers and air compressor pumps in the majority of bars.

Beach use: Kitesurf is permitted all year round. Between 15 June - 15 September, kitezones are implemented along the beach. The majority is dedicated to kitesurf, there is a zone for windsurfers and a small zone dedicated to swimmers. It must be said that the zones are not particularly clear, but you should nevertheless try to avoid the other zones in order to avoid any dangerous accident.

With Poniente: Approx 40% of time. Side-on-shore. A little bit choppy, with average swell/waves around 1-2 metres beach break. This wind is very constant.

With Levante: 50% of the time. Side-shore / side-off-shore. Very little chop out at sea and zero swell. During the winterthe first 50 meters of the beach might remain without wind.

Southerly wind: Approx 5% of the time. On-shore. Choppy waves. Medium-High difficulty due to direction of the wind and waves making it difficult to make your way out to sea. Wind is constant without gusts.

Northerly wind: Approx 5% of the time. Side-shore. Little chop at sea but wind becomes very gusty.

Dangers: No dangers. In the extreme north there are some rocks at the seabed.

Recommended level: All levels

Best conditon: for Freestyle and Freeride Poniente, Levante and Thermic. For surf-kiting, the waves are great in the north part but only when the wind is southerly.
